YARMOUTH — A lobsterman has tried his hand at writing and has authored a fictional book called, “The Blue Crab, A Fable.”

Raymond Waite says his book is an inspirational tale about a blue crab traveling the ocean bottom from Casco Bay to the Arctic Circle in search of the “sun under the sea.”

The book is illustrated by Dale Lewis of Yarmouth and is being published by The Kennebec River Press in Falmouth. The publisher says the first copies of Waite’s book should be distributed by early March.

Waite says he plans to write two sequels to the book, but also intends to keep on lobstering for a living.
