Thank you, Bangor Daily News, for the wonderful youth art display. It has been great to be able to annually enjoy the expressive creations of students from kindergarten through high school, sponsored and collected by the NEWS and attractively displayed throughout the mall concourse. I’m grateful that the mall is accessible by bus and the display is easily accessible for those in wheelchairs.

I hope I can be forgiven for making one suggestion about one thing which needs to be improved. The present labels identifying student, school, and grade lveel are very difficult to read because they are small and the writing is faint. Dark ink and writing or printing of a slightly larger size would be a vast improvement. At present, the ones at eye level are the only ones which can be read without being a giraffe or a contortionist.

The youth should not be denied easily read name identification and recognition for their fine efforts. The NEWS has small tasteful identification on the exhibit panels as sponsor. I’m sure it’s just an oversight that comparable recognition for the students hasn’t been provided. Nevertheless, it’s a splendid exhibit and much appreciated. It’s an affirmation that creativity and beauty are gourmet foods for the soul. Elizabeth Whitehouse Bangor
