ORONO — Political psychologist and researcher Lynne M. Jones will present a lecture, “Committed to the Cause: The Psychology of Non-Violent Political Activism,” at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, at the Wells Common Lounge, University of Maine.
Jones is completing a book based on a study of 25 political activists engaged in non-violent movements for social change in Poland, Britain and Guatemala.
The lecture is geared to a general audience, to those who bring about change, and psychologists, sociologists and political theorists.
