HERMON – Mark O’Clair drove in three runs with a single and a sacrifice fly to help lead the Hermon Hawks to a 7-3 schoolboy baseball win over Mount Desert Island Thursday.
Matt Alaimo chipped in with three singles for the winners, now 4-4. Chad Scripture hurled a four-hitter and hit three singles for Hermon. Scott MacDonald and Roy Peary each had two singles and an RBI.
For Mount Desert Island, 3-5, Cory Farley had two singles.

At Greenville, Chad Owens’ RBI single with two out in the bottom of the eighth scored Francis Reynolds from second base and lifted Greenville to its fifth win against two losses.
Reynolds had reached on an infield error and advanced to second on a passed ball before Owens slapped the single to right to end the game. Owens also doubled. Brian Morrill and Jason Simpson each doubled and singled, driving in a run, for the Lakers. Jarrod Strid got the pitching win.
For Forest Hills of Jackman, 2-2, Eric Frigon had two doubles and an RBI. Mark Veilleux had two singles.

At Old Town, Jerry Crafts scored on an infield error and Matt Spooner drove in a run with an infield hit in the top of the seventh, proving the difference as the Witches improved to 5-3.
Jeff Fogg drove in four runs with a double and three singles for Brewer, while Crafts finished with two doubles and a single. Dave Gregory tripled and singled, and Tim Hodgins doubled and singled. Peter Fogg earned the pitching win.
For Old Town, 7-2, Matt Eastman belted two home runs and added two singles, good for four RBI. Cory Thibodeau contributed four singles. Aaron Humphrey drove in two runs with a double and single, and Aaron King had two doubles.

At Bucksport, Scott Kenny drove in five runs with a two-run single in the first and a three-run homer in the third, helping the Eagles post their eighth win in nine games.
Bob Perry also had a hot bat for the Eagles with a double and two singles, while Justin Harmon had two singles and Steve Perry banged a two-run, pinch-hit double in the seventh.
Winning pitcher Paul Farley gave up five singles and struck out six while walking four.
For the 5-3 Golden Bucks, Bruce Goodwin had two singles and Dave Walker an RBI base hit.

At Thorndike, Chris Steiner scattered eight hits, striking out six and walking only one, and Travis Ripley drove in four runs with a double, two singles and a sacrifice fly to lead Mount View to its second win in six games.
Ripley’s two-run single keyed a four-run sixth-inning rally that padded a 4-3 lead.
Steiner and Ricky Curtis had two singles each and Richard Moulton had a run-scoring base hit.
Bob Withee had a double and a single for 6-3 Belfast and Bob Hughes had a two-run single.

At Lincoln, Jay Seamans smacked a two-run single in the top of the seventh, fueling a five-run rally and lifting the unbeaten Stearns Minutemen past the Mattanawcook Academy Lynx.
Seamans had a do-it-all day for the 5-0 Minutemen of Millinocket as he belted a two-run homer and went the distance on the mound for the win. Lateef O’Connor chipped in with three singles and two RBI. Josh Garvin also had two singles.
For Mattanawcook, 5-4, Thad Lavallee had a triple and two singles, driving in a run. Chris Thornton doubled twice and singled for an RBI. Jason Clifford drove in two runs with a double and single, and Josh Vose and Ken Glidden each singled twice to drive in a run.

At Milo, Ben Morey’s RBI single scored Wade Sickler from second with the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning to give host Penquis the win over Penobscot Valley of Howland.
Troy Chase led the way for the 2-5 Penquis Patriots with a double, a single, and two RBIs. Chase (1-2) also pitched an eight-hitter and struck out eight.
Jeremy Durost led the 2-4 Howlers with two singles and two RBIs. Mike Bernard hit a double.
