Law officers seek suspects in break

CARMEL — Law enforcement officers were searching an area around Route 2 late Friday night for suspects thought to be involved in a break at Ye Ole General Store in Carmel.

Specific information was not available at press time, but it was reported that several officers were on the scene along with police K-9 units.

It was not known for sure whether the suspects were in the woods off Route 2 or had left the area in a motor vehicle, a dispatcher at the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department reported.
