I would like to inform Warden Sgt. Michael Marshall that if he thinks fishers don’t kill cats, he is very wrong. They will kill every cat they see. (“Veazie residents blame fisher for missing cats,” BDN, April 25.)

I looked out my window one morning and saw a fisher grab my 8-year-old cat from under my window. Then it headed for the river.

A short time later my husband was fishing and found the remains of our cat. The fisher had ripped its stomach open, eaten all the insides and left the rest. A few days later my husband was fishing and found the remains of our second cat.

The fisher is a quick and vicious animal and will kill every cat it sees, also other small animals, and poultry. It also will attract people if startled or cornered.

I know fishers very well, and in my opinion, all fishers should be shot.
