BROWNVILLE — Summer activities scheduled by the Brownville Recreation Department include:
Little League baseball for boys 9-12, with some girls possibly participating.
Babe Ruth baseball for boys 13-17. The program will run June through August. Registration must be completed by June 12 at the town office.
Girls softball for ages 13-17. Players should register by June 12 at the town office.
Pee Wee baseball, with some T-ball, will be offered for boys 5-9, from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 16 through August.
Pigtail softball for girls 6-9 from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 16 through August.
Swimming lessons for children 6-18 will begin Monday, July 6 and continuing through Tuesday, Aug. 19. The coed program will be held at the YMCA pool facility in Dover-Foxcroft. Swim time will be 10 to 10:45 a.m. daily. Bus transportation will be provided. The fee is $18 a child.
Ponytail softball will be offered for girls 9-12, 1 to 2 p.m. beginning Wednesday, June 17, through August.
Introduction to baseball-softball for boys and girls 3-5 years old will be held 2 to 3 p.m. two days a week beginning Wednesday, June 24, through August.
Arts and crafts for boys and girls 6-17 will be held at the recreation office. Times and dates will be arranged. Register at the town office by June 12.
A trip to a Boston Red Sox-Oakland Athletics game is scheduled Wednesday, Aug. 26, if sufficient funds are raised.
