July busy month at nursing home

DEXTER — July has been a busy month for the staff and residents at the Dexter Nursing Home, according to Judy Harris of the activity department.

During the month a social was held with nursing home residents and the South Sangerville Ladies Extension. The Extension ladies brought household items of long ago and talked about them.

On July 3, a baby contest was held at the home in conjunction with the annual Dexterfest. Each baby took home a prize. An accordian player performed at the home on July 8 and the annual summer picnic was held July 10 at the Brewster Inn. An ice cream social will be held on July 15 at the Sanfield Living Center with residents making the ice cream. The candlelight supper will be held at 5 p.m. July 22. Those celebrating birthdays in July will be honored at a birthday party on July 24.

Many outside games are being played at the home and a mystery ride is held each Friday afternoon.
