ORONO – Jamie White fashioned a two-hitter as Bangor-Brewer blanked Old Town-Orono 2-0 Thursday night in Eastern Maine Amateur Baseball League action at Mahaney Diamond here.

White struck out six and walked two in outdueling Dana Andrews of the Double O’s who allowed only five hits with five walks and seven strikeouts.

The Twins scored both runs in the first inning as Ron Hewes singled and scored on Frank Peckham’s long triple. Peckham scored on an error.

Hewes tripled and singled twice and Peckham also singled for all five hits for the 6-3 winners.

The 9-3 league-leaders had a second inning double by Jamie Campbell and a fifth-inning single by Andrews.
