The Bangor Auditorium will be alive with the sounds of basketball Aug. 14-15 during the first Bangor Auditorium End of Summer Boys High School Invitational Basketball Tournament. Bob Cimbollek, boys basketball coach at John Bapst High School, will serve as the director of the eight-team, single-elimination tournament. Teams scheduled to compete are Brewer, Hampden Academy, John Bapst, Lawrence of Fairfield, Nokomis of Newport, Old Town, Stearns of Millinocket and Winslow. The 11-game event will be held in three sessions, one on Aug. 14 and two on Aug. 15. Tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for students, per session. Corporate sponsors for the tournament are Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Bangor, Berg Enterprises of Dexter, and Webb’s Sports Service. Tournament pairings have not yet been established

Game 1, 5 p.m.; Game 2, 6:30 p.m.; Game 3, 8 p.m.; Game 4, 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15 Session 2
Game 5: Losers of Games 1 & 2, 8 a.m.
Game 6: Losers of Games 3 & 4, 9:30 a.m.
Game 7: Winners of Games 1 & 2, 11 a.m.
Game 8: Winners of Games 3 & 4, 12:30 p.m. Session 3
Game 9: Losers of Games 5 & 6, 3 p.m.
Game 10: Winners of Games 5 & 6, 4:30 p.m.
Game 11: Losers of Games 7 & 8, 6 p.m.
Special contests: Foul shooting, 1-on-1, 3-point shooting, 7:30 p.m.
Game 12: Winners of Games 7 & 8 for championship, 9 p.m.
