BRUNSWICK — The Great State of Maine Airshow will be open to the public 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 25-26, at Brunswick Naval Air Station.
At noon Friday, July 24, gates will open and the Blue Angels show will begin for handicapped people, public employees, military personnel, and the elderly. It will include demonstrations of the P-3C Orion, F-14D Tomcat, the Combat Assault Demonstration team, Fat Albert Jet-Assisted Take Off, and the Blue Angels practice show. At 4 p.m. Friday a static aircraft display is scheduled.
At 8 a.m. Saturday, July 25, gates will open to the general public with the following events scheduled:
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. — static aircraft display and Community Expo Fair in Hangar 4; radio-controlled model airplane demonstration.
Noon — 10th Special Forces Parachute Team jump; demonstrations of the VF-101 squadron F-14B Tomcat; Bob and Pat Wanger wing-walker aerial display; VP-23 P-3C Orion, F-117 Stealth Fighter, HH-1V Huey, A-6 Intruder bomber, C-5B Galaxy Cargo, Fat Albert Jet-Assisted Take Off and Blue Angels demonstration.
At 8 a.m. Sunday the gates open again for the following events:
9 a.m. — static display of aircraft and Community Expo Fair; radio-controlled model airplane demonstration.
