Bangor-Brewer stops Downeast

ORONO – Ed Vanidestine had two singles, a double, and two RBIs to lead the Bangor-Brewer Twins to a 9-3 win over the Downeast Yankees of Ellsworth in Eastern Maine Amateur Baseball League action here Monday night.

For the 12-4 Twins, Al Perkins pitched a six-hitter for the victory. Chad White had two singles and two RBIs. Jamie White and Robbie White each singled twice.

Dan Kane hit a two-run home run in the first for the 7-11 Yankees. Bain Pollard and Bob Perry each singled twice.
