Hampden to hold public hearings

HAMPDEN — The Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, at the municipal building to hold two public hearings and to conduct town business.

The first public hearing will be on proposed amendments to sections of the zoning ordinance pertaining to the Industrial District.

The second hearing relates to proposed amendments dealing with the Industrial Commercial District.

Other items on the agenda include a discussion of the future of the Dyer Community Library, a review of the evaluation of the town manager, action on a request for seed money for the bicentennial committee, acceptance of a letter of resignation from a director from the school board and discussion of the status of odor complaints at Sawyer Environmental Recovery Facilities.
