ROCKLAND — Seniorcise Aerobic Classes are being held from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, at the Rockland Recreation Center. The class is conducted by Mary Root, a qualified Aerobic and Fitness Association of America instructor.
There is no charge to Rockland senior citizens for these classes. However, written approval from your doctor is required.
Many senior citizens think retirement is the time to “take it easy.” Not so, according to the President’s Council on Physical Fitness — now is the time to “pep up your life” with some type of physical exercise. Even a mild exercise routine, 20 minutes or more at least three times a week, can add years to your life.
