Women’s College Soccer
PRESQUE ISLE – Kelly Picard had a hat trick and an assist and Sarah Roy added two goals to lead the University of Maine-Presque Isle to a 6-0 women’s soccer victory over the Husson Rams of bangor here Friday.
UMPI gained its 10th win against one loss.
Lynn Hartley had the other goal for UMPI and she also had an assist. Andrea Sponberg and Wendi Romanelli each picked up an assist and Michelle Davis made three saves on six shots for her fourth shutout of the season.
Husson goalie Lori Yanush made 23 saves on 35 shots.
Husson is now 2-9.
Thomas 1, UMF 0
At Farmington, Mo McInnis scored on a Theresa Underwood pass with 34:53 left in the game to give Thomas College of Waterville the win over University of Maine-Farmington.
For the 7-4-1 Thomas Terriers, Stacey Smith made 18 saves on 28 shots.
April Henderson made 14 saves on 18 shots for the 5-2-4 Beavers.
