LIMESTONE — Virginia Houde, a senior at Limestone Junior Senior High School, has been named a commended student in the 1993 National Merit Scholarship Program.
A letter of commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corp., which conducts the program, will be presented to the school. Houde exhibited exceptional academic promise by placing among the top 5 percent of more than 1 million program entrants in the 1991 Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test-National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, according to program officials.
