ORONO – Christina Contardo and Erica Labb each recorded a hat trick here Wednesday, tying the school’s single-game scoring record and powering the University of Maine to a 10-1 women’s soccer victory over Thomas College of Waterville.

Labb scored two of her three goals in the first half, with Contardo netting two in the second half. Each also added an assist for the 4-10 Black Bears.

Rhonda Pelkey and Kellie Leeman provided a goal and an assist each for the winners, while Sharon Rothwell added a goal. Jennifer Perpolilli made one save on five shots.

For the 8-6-1 Terriers, Cassie Graves scored off an assist by Theresa Underwood. Stacey Smith made 23 saves, facing 41 shots.
