Sermon not typical

I wish to respond to the letter by David A. Richards of Foxcroft, which appeared on Nov. 9. I agree that it is regretful that a minister used the power of the pulpit to admonish a congregation on how they should vote. I want to assure Mr. Richards that the sermon he heard was a typical; most pastors did not advise their congregation on how to vote. If he wants to verify this he only has to ask people who attended other church services on Nov.1…. John Schwetz Brewer
