INDIAN ISLAND – The Brewer Witches got five of their goals from Aaron Boone and Chris Munroe as they downed Presque Isle 7-1 in a mutual schoolboy hockey opener Saturday at Sockalexis Arena here.

Boone had the hat trick and Munroe scored twice with an assist for the Witches. Chad Allen and Darren Beers scored a goal apiece and both added a pair of assists.

For the Wildcats, Travis Lauritsen scored and Tyler Player assisted.

In the Brewer nets, Joel Dolbow turned away 19 of 20 shots.

For the visitors, Scott Bernard stopped 24 of 31 shots.
