WINSLOW – Micah Illingworth scored four goals and assisted on three others as Stearns of Millinocket remained unbeaten with a 10-1 schoolboy hockey victory over Lawrence of Fairfield at Sukee Arena in Winslow here Saturday.

Chris Sharpe scored two goals and Brian Barnes added a goal and an assist for the 3-0 Minutemen. Scott Daniell, Matt MacDonald and Jeremy Beaupain scored a goal apiece.

Ben Hanscom made 14 saves for the winners.

Josh Ruox scored the lone goal for Lawrence of Fairfield, with Eric Hunt making 34 saves.

Bangor 6, Deering 5

At Portland, the Rams evened their record at 2-2 while handing Deering of Portland its first loss after three wins.

Brock Soucie scored twice for Bangor, including the eventual game-winner, and had an assist. Other goal scorers for the Rams were Chad Bazinet, Ryan Maker, Seth Hardy and Wayne Roland.

For the hosts, David Polisner scored twice and Andy Gildart had a goal and an assist.

Bangor goalie Ryan Norton had 29 saves on 31 shots and Deering’s Michael Cohen had 25 saves on 31 shots.

Orono 10, Foxcroft 0

At Alfond Arena in Orono, Paul Mountcastle netted the hat trick and Vinny Marzilli had two goals to lead the Riots to the victory.

Both teams are now 1-2.

Nate Garwood, Chris Furbish, and Shane Tyrrell each scored a goal and recorded an assist for the Riots. Natt Nevells and David Mountcastle also had goals while Zac Pelleriti had two assists. In net, Marc Halsted made five saves.

For the Ponies, B.J. Cota had 39 saves.
