WOODLAND – Ryan Cilley nailed a 3-pointer with one second to play in regulation to send the game into overtime, and host Woodland went on to earn a 73-71 schoolboy basketball victory over Houlton here Monday night.

Nate Martell spearheaded the 2-4 Dragons with 25 points and 13 rebounds, with Cilley scoring 23 points. Bobby Barter added 17 points and Jim Wirkala snatched 11 rebounds.

Danny Dahl poured in a game-high 32 points for 2-4 Houlton. Brian Swallow contributed 22 more and Travis Beaton had 11.

Tony Tobin scored 23 points to lead the 4-2 Eagles, while Robert McDougal and Dave Holmes tossed in 14 points each. Angelo Malfatti added 10.

Chris Hallet had a game-high 25 points for 2-5 Washburn. Shawn Cunningham added 10 points.

At Hodgdon, Roman Karnes scored a game-high 17 points and Jared Stewart pulled down 13 rebounds to go with his nine points as unbeaten Hodgdon won for the sixth time. Easton is now 1-5.

Stewart had all nine points in the first half as the Hawks built a 36-19 halftime lead.

Glenn Cole had 12 points for the winners and Brian Oliver had 10 more. Karnes grabbed nine rebounds.

Shawn Clark’s 10 points paced Easton and David Richardson tossed in eight more.

For Searsport, Jason Krienke had 25 points and Ethan Brown had 11.
