MAINE vs. CENTRAL FLORIDA
Time, site: Wednesday, 8 p.m., UCF Gym, Orlando, Fla.
Records: Maine 5-1, Central Florida 3-5
Key players: Maine – G Casey Arena (12.7 ppg), G Deonte Hursey (11.7 ppg), F Fritz Marseille (5.3 ppg), C Francois Bouchard (10.7 ppg, 7.3 rpg), F Chris Collins (3.5 ppg); Central Florida – G Sinua Phillips (14.1 ppg), G Ray Carter (13.3 ppg), F Darryl Davis (17.6 ppg), C James Walker (7.6 ppg), F Victor Saxton (13.6 ppg)
Outlook: Central Florida leads series 2-0 including 86-79 win in 1990-91. Maine is hot, having won five straight including 56-54 win over Bradley last week. UCF has lost five of its last six, most recently to Grambling (85-81) and McNeese State (77-73). Knights are small up front, going 6-4, 6-5, 6-6, which means 6-8 Bouchard of Maine and 6-8 Dan Hillman should be factors. UCF has attempted three times as many 3-point shots as Maine (127-42) and is shooting .402 from beyond the arc. Knights like to run and gun.
