Women’s College Basketball

SALEM, Mass. – Melanie Freed scored 22 points to help pace Simpson College of Indianola, Iowa, to an 86-45 women’s basketball victory over Bowdoin College of Brunswick here Wednesday.

For 4-3 Simpson, Anita Lampe scored 14 points, Pam Freshwater had 13 points and 13 rebounds, and Kris Wildeboer added 10 points.

Laura Schultz scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the 3-5 Polar Bears.
