Our deer ran away — not a live deer but a birch deer. It had stood on our lawn for several Christmas seasons with lighted antlers, a wreath and a bell around its neck. It was special to us.
This deer was taken one week before Christmas. How can anyone be so ignorant, thoughtless, and inconsiderate as to act with such boldness?
It is pitful to think we can’t have something on our own property and be able to trust people. Carolyn Grindal Orrington
