EAST CORINTH – Willie Rivera scored a game-high 18 points and Toby Pineo pumped in 16 more to lead the Central Red Devils to a 52-38 schoolboy basketball win over the Foxcroft Academy Ponies Wednesday night.
Josh Newcomb had nine points for the 3-8 winners, who attained a split of the season series. Foxcroft had beaten Central 61-60 in Dover-Foxcroft on Dec. 14.
Rivera and Pineo had 10 points apiece in the first half as Central built a 25-14 halftime lead.
Richard Curtis had 16 points for 5-6 Foxcroft and Kenny Allen had eight more.

MADAWASKA – John Clavette tossed in 25 points and dished out five assists to lead the Madawaska Owls to a 77-51 schoolboy basketball win over the Easton Bears Wednesday night.
Joey Cannan scored 16 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for 7-5 Madawaska. Pierre Michaud contributed 12 points, 16 rebounds and five assists.
Brad Wolverton paced 3-8 Easton with 24 points. Matt Burtt added 19.

Jimmy Killarney had 11 points for the winners and Mark Dugal contributed eight more.
