HAMPDEN — Rep. Debra Plowman, R-Hampden, has been named to the 116th Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on the Judiciary. Plowman has worked in a legal office for 14 years and said she has a strong interest in legal questions.
Plowman said that she would “avoid legal jargon and keep some of these issues at a level that most Mainers can understand.”
She also has been appointed ot the Joint Select Committee on Rules.
She has worked as a legal secretary in a private firm and as a legal clerk with the U.S. Department of Justice, and as a district staff assistant and case worker for U.S. Rep. Olympia Snowe.
