THOMASTON — There is still time to register for The Early Outreach Program at the Thomaston Center.
Classes for children in grades kindergarten through eight will meet on four consecutive Saturday mornings beginning March 13. Experienced instructors will provide learning opportunities with video, lasers and holography, and clay.
Introductory Video will allow students from grades five through eight to explore the world of video production. They will be involved in the complete production process from development of the video topic through final mixing.
The class will plan, shoot, and edit their own video as part of the learning process. The class will meet from 9 a.m. to noon.
Children in grades one through six will explore how and why we are able to see, using the exploration of light, reflection, and refraction by making light boxes, kaleidoscopes, mirror toys, and a hologram.
Pupils in kindergarten through grade six will sculpt and paint fantasy castles, landscapes, masks, and creatures out of clay in Clay for Kids.
For further information and registration, call the Thomaston Center.
