CLEARWATER, Fla. – Babson College scored three runs in the last of the eighth to take a 6-5 baseball win over Husson College at Joe DiMaggio Complex here on Thursday.

The 4-2 Beavers from Boston put together the winning rally on a walk, four singles and a couple of fielder’s choice grounders. Jeff MacCasland, Jack Kinshi and Rob Keenan had RBI hits in the inning.

Husson had led 3-0 after two in the first and one in the second. In the first inning, Frank Peckham’s two-out single produced a run. After Peckham stole second, Bill Swift singled him home.

In the second, Rob Porter tripled and scored on Dan Foley’s sacrifice fly. Troy Martin had a double and a single and Sean Sullivan two singles for Husson.

The 4-5 Braves will face Fitchburg (Mass.) State in a 9 a.m. game Friday at Hoyt Field in St. Petersburg.
