NORFOLK, Va. – Turner Williams belted a two-run home run in the third inning and singled to help pace Old Dominion University to an 18-4 baseball victory over St. Joseph’s College of Standish here Thursday.

The game was cut to seven innings due to cold weather.

For the 13-3 Monarchs, Kevin Gibbs had three singles and two RBIs. Mike Crowell contributed with two singles and three runs scored. Denis McLaughlin (1-0) notched the win with four innings of work.

Peter McNally hit a two-run single in the fifth inning and Brian Owen added a one-run single for the 0-4 Monks. Ryan Marston (0-1) took the loss.
