BELFAST — A five-day conference dealing with the brokenness in people’s lives will be held April 5-9 at First Church in Belfast. The non-denominational school, “Restoring Personal Wholeness,” will be presented by Clay and Mary McLean of Clay McLean Ministries in Longview, Texas. The sponsor is Midcoast Christian Fellowship of Belfast.
“Clay and Mary’s desire is to bring teachings to all who are seeking healing and wholeness,” said the Rev. Jim Begley, pastor of MCF. “In dealing with past hurts, the healing ministry of the presence of Jesus makes whole the brokenness of one’s emotional, sexual, mental, spiritual and relational lives.”
McLean has worked with Leanne Payne Pastoral Care Ministries since 1983. He is known for his teaching ministry, and for his work as a worship leader, musician and writer.
The McLeans have ministered throughout North America and Europe. They have academic background in theological and psychological studies from East Texas Baptist University.
Adults and teen-agers are welcome to attend. Child care will not be provided.
Conference sessions will be held 9:30 a.m.-noon, 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday through Friday, April 5-9. Registration will be held 8-9:30 a.m. Monday.
The cost of the conference is $35. Brochures are available at area churches, or from Jim Begley or Peg Moser at 338-5899.
