NEWPORT — Sebasticook Grange 306 recently held its annual cake baking contest and winners were Dorothy Nickerson, first; Doris Towle, second; and Marion Williams, third.

Judges were Isabel Pettingill, Grace Smart and Louise Bitner.

In other business, reports were received by the legislative, agriculture, youth, and deaf awareness committees. An invitation to attend St. Albans Grange Open House Awards Night on April 23 was accepted.

Sebasticook Grange will join Eastville Grange at its regular meeting this month to add friendship links to a chain being formed with all Granges in the state.
