Ron Ryan, chief executive officer of the Philadelphia Flyers and a member of Colby College’s class of 1962, will be honored by the Colby “C” Club at the annual spring awards banquet Sunday in Cambridge, Mass.

The former Division I Hockey All-American, whose jersey was retired by Colby, will be presented the Carl E. Nelson Sports Achievement Award for professional achievement in sports. The brunch will begin at 11 a.m. in the Howard Johnson’s ballroom. Cost is $23.50 per person.

Ryan became head coach of the Hartford Whalers in 1973 and general manager in 1975.
