FORT FAIRFIELD — Darrell McCrum was named Star Chapter Farmer and Fred Whited received the Star Greenhand Award at the Mars Hill Future Farmers of America chapter’s 57th annual appreciation banquet.

Rodney McCrum, a Mars Hill farmer, and Guy Hitz, FFA adviser, were inducted as honorary members.

The Mars Hill and Blaine Junior Extension offered a short presentation on the different roles people play in the potato industry.
