BANGOR DAILY NEWS (BANGOR, MAINE

Do you know where your son or daughter was around 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 21 of school vacation? They may have been at my home in Hampden. Arriving in a gray car, breaking down my front door and removing from my home CD’s, stereo equipment that would fill that shelf in their room, the room we parents don’t visit very often because it is so messy. (I’m being kind. I, too, have a teen-age son.)

They also opened my dresser drawers and took diamond rings, gold and silver bracelets, and chains that were given to me by my deceased husband, and most heart-wrenching of all, my mother’s engagement ring, the ring my father gave me after mother’s death from a brain tumor.

The loss of these treasures has affected me to the depth of my very soul. Please, if anyone can help recover the items stolen, contact the Hampden Police Department at 862-4000. Your call will be kept confidential and hopefully the information will aid in finding out who entered my home uninvited. Laura B. Farmer Hampden
