BELFAST – Belfast took advantage of a throwing error and a passed ball with two outs, scoring three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to pull out a 12-11 Class B softball victory over Ellsworth here Friday.
For the 4-10 Lions, Sue Robbins doubled and singled. Staci Smith and Sara McFarland each singled twice. Miranda Mason scattered 10 hits to notch the win.
Sharon Hamilton hit two triples and Rebecca Stanley hit three singles to lead the 6-6 Eagles. Wendy Turner singled twice.

At Thorndike, Tanya Winchenbach and Heidi Pace collected three hits each to lead Hermon to its seventh win.
Marcie Burr belted a homer to highlight the offense.
D.J. Glazier and Jane Frost chipped in with two hits apiece for the 7-6 Hawks, while Marcie Burr belted a home run.
Heidi Adams had two hits for 0-13 Mount View.

At Hampden, Jen Craig tripled twice and drove in a run to pace the Hampden Broncos to the win over Nokomis of Newport.
Becky Fraser singled twice and Amy Dwyer pitched a seven-hitter for the win for 8-6 Hampden.
For the 1-10 Warriors, Tonya Draper hit three singles.

At Camden, Jody Senter and Angela Brown each hit a two-run home run and a single to pace the Bucksport Golden Bucks to the win over Camden-Rockport.
For the 11-1 Bucks, Rian Tripp singled twice and tripled. Kara Ready pitched a five-hitter.
Jill Young singled twice for the Windjammers.

For the 9-3 Vikings, Toni Tibbetts hit an RBI single.

At Greenville, Lee got hits from nine different players to help the Pandas earn their sixth win of the season. Missy Raymond and Shelley Worster had three singles each for 6-7 Lee.

At Hodgdon, Kara Crane belted a three-run homer and a single and Hunnah White pitched a three-hitter as Hodgdon defeated Washburn.

Washburn (0-9) was led by Rene Conley’s two singles.

At Madawaska, Michelle Hebert drove in three runs with three singles, powering the Owls to their sixth win against three losses.

For 4-5 Fort Kent, Missy McBreairty had two singles and an RBI.

At Machias, Machias scored eight runs in the final inning to seal the win over Woodland.
Becky Tower and Talie Nelson bolstered the score with a home run each. Tower also had two doubles. Jody Wood, Amy Wolverton, Catherine Luce, and Heather Alley had two singles apiece. Wolverton pitched a three-hitter as Machias improved to 9-2.
For Woodland, Missy Cox nailed a home run.

At Lincoln, April Lyons (9-4) pitched a one-hitter and led the offense with two triples to pace Mattanawcook Academy to the win over Stearns of Millinocket.
For the 9-4 Lynx, Kara LaChance hit three singles. Katie Clay and Angela Tash each singled twice.
Heather Leet’s single in the fourth was the lone hit by 1-12 Stearns.
