The Multiple Handicap Center of Penobscot Valley has been awarded a three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

The center, with headquarters in Bangor, includes Penobscot Valley Industries, the Ralph Leek Elders Program and Phoenix Industries.

In granting the accreditation, the agency said that MHCPV “exhibits admirable strengths in the quality of its programs, staff competence, administrative excellence, record keeping, diversity, and professionalism.”
