ALICIA J. NICHOLS of Veazie has been appointed vice president for fund raising at the University of Maine General Alumni Association. A 1982 graduate of the university, Nichols brings seven years of fund-raising experience to her new job. She succeeds Michael Crowley, who recently became executive director of the Greater Bangor Chamber of Commerce.

Soft Hits 92.9 Radio of Bangor has announced that TERRY COULTER has joined the organization as news director and a morning co-host. Coulter is responsible for delivering the news 10 minutes before and 10 minutes after the hour weekday mornings between 5 and 9 a.m. Coulter lives in Bradley.

Eastern Maine Medical Center has appointed DR. JONATHAN E. BISHOP, a family practice physician, to the active medical staff. A graduate of Oregon Health Sciences University, Bishop interned in California. He is certified by the American Board of Family Practice.

SUSAN H. CLARK has been promoted to marketing officer at the First National Bank of Bar Harbor. Clark is a graduate of MDI High School and Husson College. She has been with the bank for 15 years, and formerly served as secretary of the corporation.

JEFFREY C. TOOTHAKER of Ellsworth has been named chairman of the Criminal Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association. Toothaker graduated from the University of Maine and earned his law degree at Southern Illinois University School of Law. He practices in Ellsworth.
