ORONO — The Rev. Krisann Byrne-Scheri, pastor of the Corinna, Dexter and Ripley United Methodist churches, was ordained an elder at the annual Maine United Methodist Conference on Sunday, June 13, at Orono.

Beginning July 1, she will serve the Dexter-Hartland churches.

After the ordination, more than 60 people attended a reception at her home. A potluck supper was held at the Dexter church when a money tree and many cards were presented to her.

Among the guests attending were Howard Benson, retired Northern District superintendent. A short program followed the supper, and the Rev. Randall Scheri led the group in a musical presentation.
