Mark McEwen scattered six hits to earn the complete-game win as Bangor defeated Skowhegan 16-3 in American Legion baseball action at Garland Street Field in Bangor on Monday night.

Roy Peary paced the offense for 10-8 Bangor with a triple, a single, and three RBIs. Matt Alaimo drove in a run with a triple and two singles, and Eric Murray had a pair of doubles. Matt Kinney added two singles and an RBI.

McEwen only struck out one and walked two while earning the win.

For the Log Drivers of Skowhegan, 13-5 and in second place in Zone 1, Adam Fitzpatrick had a single and a double while Adam Gilman had two singles.
