Matt Eastman capped a four-run seventh inning with the game-winning single as the Buck Saver A’s downed the Central Maine Cubs 6-5 in Eastern Maine Amateur Baseball League action at Husson College Sunday in Bangor.
Eastman’s one-out base hit brought Rick Helfon home.
Central Maine dropped to 12-5 with the loss, while the A’s improved to 3-14. George O’Connor picked up the win in relief, striking out three in 1 2/3 innings of work.
Kevin McIntyre had a double and a single to lead the winners, while Scott Hanscom had a single and two RBIs.

At Mahaney Diamond, Leroy Decker scored the winning run and pitched a five-hitter as Molunkus rallied from three runs down to defeat Downeast Sunday.
Decker walked with two out in the bottom of the seventh and scored the game-winner from first after Aaron Knowles’ infield hit was thrown into right field.
Chris Cyr hit a single and a double and drove in a run for 14-2 Molunkus. Troy Martin and Ryan Thibodeau each singled twice.
Eric Lanks had an RBI triple and Justin Harmon hit an RBI double for the 10-7 Yankees.
