Do you favor an initiative to halt out-of-state contractors from bidding against our contractors, stealing jobs from Maine people? A lot of jobs are lost every year due to so-called competition. But to me, competition is not the answer; it does not create jobs for Maine people.
Too many cities and towns forget about us when it comes to jobs, construction or otherwise.
If we do not have the equipment to do certain jobs, I believe our state should invest in this equipment. This would ensure that Maine people would have a chance for these jobs.
Mr. Bill Diamond, our secretary of state, says I need a lawyer that deals in constitutional law to put my initiative together. I am just a working person like you trying to create some jobs in Maine, which I don’t see happening in the state of Maine.
