After giving the public a lousy viceo fare without any attempt to get an input from the public about their preferences, the local TV stations are screaming.
I subscribed to cable because the local programs, more often than not, were lousy. An example comes to mind when I think of the football season. Out of four channels three are transmitting games simultaneously. Favorite programs people love to watch take a back seat and are not transmitted until the games are over. Half of the favorite programs is over by then.
Though cable companies aren’t lilly white and pull their dirty tricks, like taking a good channel away and giving you a lousy one in return, they stil have a better fare than the local TV stations in the long run. For this reason I dumped them too for a satellite system. The latter eliminates all local stations.
I would think the local TV stations would spend time educating the public in another direction instead of screaming, saying they’re getting a raw deal. With about $10 worth of hardware from the local electronics store you can have both, the local TV stations and cable or satellite stations, by keeping the aerial they now have up. The hook-up is simple and straightforward. Ronald F. Cormier Levant
