VAN BUREN – Jeremy Dugal’s goal with 2:44 left in the second overtime gave the Wisdom Pioneers a 2-1 schoolboy soccer victory over the Van Buren Crusaders Monday.

Dugal scored off an assist from Jamie Guerrette as the Pioneers of St. Agatha improved to 1-1-1. Craig Thibodeau scored unassisted in the first half and goalie Tony Aldrete finished with 10 saves on 20 shots.

Van Buren’s Travis Lajoie scored the game’s first goal when he converted a Peter Dolansky pass with 8:13 left in the first half. Goalie Todd Ayotte made four saves on eight shots for the 1-2 Crusaders.

Washburn 2, SAHS 1

At Dyer Brook, Jarad Carney scored off a Brad Fox assist five minutes into the second half, giving Washburn the margin of victory.

Mark Garvin scored off a direct kick less than two minutes into the game for the 2-1 Beavers. Jon Maynard made 18 saves on 24 shots.

Steve Flaois converted off a Kyle Fox setup to notch the lone goal for 0-1 Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook. Aaron Greenlaw made 11 saves on 17 shots.

CAHS 4, Easton 3

At Easton, Ryk Paradis scored the game-winning goal with 14:11 left to play in the game to give Central Aroostook of Mars Hill the victory.

For the Central Panthers, Ricky McDonald assisted on the game-winner and also scored twice. Aaron Boyd had the other goal. Steve Boyd and Joe Rideout combined for 12 saves on 17 shots.

Danny Pierce scored twice for the 0-3 Bears and Seth Dudley had one goal. Brad Winger made 33 saves on 47 shots.

Madawaska 9, Limestone 0

At Limestone, John Clavette scored three goals and Ed Lavertu assisted on three to lift the Owls past the Eagles.

Ed Lavertu, Jimmy Keller, Mike Lavertu, Ben Dyer, Randy Bourgoin, and Ryan Cyr each added a goal for the 2-0 winners. Goalie Scott Carter made seven saves on 14 shots.

John Butts made three saves on 22 shots for 1-3 Limestone.
