Schoolgirl soccer

LIMESTONE – Goalie Jodi Quint turned away 18 shots to pace undefeated Hodgdon to a 2-1 schoolgirl soccer win over Limestone here Friday.

Amy Quint and Kerri Ivey scored unassisted goals for the 2-0-1 Hawks.

Kim Chapman scored the goal for 1-2-3 Limestone. Becky Rhome made 19 saves.

SAHS 2, CAHS 0

At Mars Hill, Jill Mathers’ second-half goal broke a scoreless tie and propelled the Southern Aroostook Warriors to the win.

Jessica Walker added an insurance goal for 1-0 Southern Aroostook. Janna Walker assisted on both scores while goalie Diana Goodall made nine saves.

Duska Hewitt made 10 saves for 1-2-1 Central Aroostook.

Wisdom 3, Washburn 1

At St. Agatha, Michelle Paradis, Linda Desjardins and Vicki Morneault scored goals as the host Pioneers improved to 1-3-2.

Barbie Ouellette and Danielle Lavertu added assists, while Carrie Ouellette made 10 saves.

Nicole Dobson scored the goal for 2-3-1 Washburn. Shannon Henthorn turned away 19 shots.

Houlton 3, Madawaska 1

At Houlton, Erin Upton had a goal and an assist to help lead the Houlton Shiretowners to the win over Madawaska.

Jennifer O’Leary and Melissa Pottle each scored a goal for the 1-2 Shiretowners. Tina McAfee saved nine of 13 shots.

For the 2-1-1 Owls, Debbie Jandreau scored the lone goal. Michelle Hebert saved 12 of 17 shots.
