Two area golfers scored holes-in-one at Penobscot Valley Country Club in Orono Sunday.

Emily Loiselle of Eddington carded an ace on the 143-yard fourth hole using a 5-wood. Her shot was witnessed by Leo Loiselle, Henry Paul and Gertrude Paul.

Rod Hawkins of Brewer recorded his hole-in-one on the same hole, which measures 154 yards from the men’s tee. Hawkins hit a 5-iron. Ed St. Heart, Sue St. Heart and Monica Hawkins witnessed the shot.

At Hampden Country Club, Kevin Derrah aced the course’s 320-yard No. 8 hole. He got the hole-in-one July 26 on the par 4 hole with a 3-wood. Bob Hallett witnessed the shot.

Two holes-in-one were also recorded at the Bar Harbor Golf Club in Trenton in the past week.

On Aug. 28, Bruce Clark of Sorrento used a 4-iron to ace No. 8, a 175-yard par-3. It was Clark’s second ace of the season. Witnesses were Gary Kane, Bo Lewis, and Luther Springer.

Then on Aug. 30, Bo Lewis of Trenton got his first career ace. He used a 6-iron on the 156-yard, par-3 17th hole. Witnesses were Don Norwood, Mark Anderson, and Luther Springer.
