Schoolboy soccer

HODGDON – Matt Spencer had a goal and an assist to help pace the Hodgdon Hawks to a 3-1 schoolboy soccer win over the Southern Aroostook Warriors here Tuesday.

For the 4-2 Hawks, Jeremy Bell and Shawn Little had the other two goals. In goal, Chris Quint stopped six of eight shots.

Jason Porter scored on a Dan Hunt assist for Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook. Aaron Greenlaw saved 14 of 26 shots.

Limestone 5, Washburn 1

At Washburn, Brian Evans had two goals and an assist to lead the Limestone Eagles past Washburn.

Dan Huston also scored twice for the Eagles. Dan Mezera scored one goal and John Baths made 12 saves on 17 shots.

For the 2-5 Beavers, Brad Fox scored on a Jason Sargent assist. Jon Maynard made 16 saves on 30 shots.
