At Pittsfield, Caroline Wright pounded a low, hard shot just inside the left post 1:18 into overtime to give Maine Central Institute the victory.

Alicia Orr assisted on the goal. Emily Walker earned the shutout in net, making 11 saves on 13 shots.

For the Windjammers, Derrah Roberts made nine saves on 13 shots.

Schenck 5, Central 0

At East Millinocket, Heather Rosebush scored three goals and assisted on another to lead the host Wolverines to the season-opening win.

Kristen Chavarie added a goal and two assists for Schenck while Nickie Brown scored a goal and Carrie Cram made an assist. Keli Daigle made five saves on six shots.

Holly Roberts made 11 stops on 18 shots for Central.

Dexter 4, PVHS 1

At Howland, Nadine Taylor scored two goals to pace the Dexter Tigers to the win over host Penobscot Valley.

For the 1-0 Tigers, Angie Haven had a goal and an assist. Lyn Hersey had a goal and Tammy Downing made eight saves on 14 shots.

Heather Poirer had a goal on Mandy Sage’s assist for 0-1 Penobscot Valley. Julie Delaite made eight saves on 18 shots.

Greenville 2, Rangeley 0

At Greenville, Jasmin Souther had two unassisted goals to pace the host Lakers to the win over Rangeley.

Greenville moved to 1-0 as Erin-Kate Springer made 10 saves on 12 shots.

For the 0-1 Lakers, Tina Brackett had 10 saves on 23 shots.
