Schoolboy soccer
BLUE HILL – Josh Barlow scored on a Scott Murphy assist midway through the first half to give the host George Stevens Academy Eagles a 1-0 high school boys soccer victory over Camden-Rockport Wednesday.
For the 6-1-2 Eagles, J.T. Loomis made six saves on nine shots for the shutout.
Justin Hovey saved 16 of 24 shots he faced for the 5-5-1 Windjammers.
Hermon 6, Bucksport 2
At Hermon, Joey Oxley scored three goals as Hermon improved its record to 4-3-1. Bucksport is now 0-6-1.
Brett Stuber, Robbie Watson and Steve Small had the other goals for Hermon and goalie Justin Shaw made seven saves on 13 shots.
Dick Smith and Mike Gray scored for Bucksport and goalie Dave Winchester stopped 18 of 24 shots.
Hermon won the JV game 2-0.
Machias 2, Calais 0
At Machias, Aaron Coffin scored one goal and set up another to help the Bulldogs beat the Blue Devils.
Adam Kilton scored the other goal for 4-2-1 Machias. Tim Manchester had 12 saves on 12 shots for his fourth shutout.
For the 4-3 Blue Devils, Matt Raye had 15 saves on 17 shots.
Narraguagus 2, Lubec 1
At Lubec, Paul Gordon and Mickey Willey each scored unassisted goals to give the Knights of Harrington the victory.
Gordon scored in the first half and Mickey Willey 3:17 into the second. Corey Pesce came back to scored an unassisted goal for Lubec seven minutes later.
Narraguagus outshot Lubec 20-16 with Lubec goalie Eugene Sylvia making 14 saves and Narraguagus netkeeper Chris Martin stopping eight shots.
Narraguagus is now 5-2 and Lubec is 0-6.
J-B Royals 2, Woodland 1
At Jonesport-Beals, the host Royals jumped out to a 2-0 lead and held on for their sixth win in eight games.
For 6-1-1 Jonesport-Beals, Jared Fagonde and Phillip Dobbins each scored an unassisted goal. Wayne Dube made 12 saves on 25 shots.
Jason Manza scored on Marty Richards’ assist for Woodland. Nate Martell saved 12 of 20 shots.
