DEXTER – Dawn Wood’s goal off a Danielle Brown assist in a goalmouth scramble early in the overtime gave Central of East Corinth a 3-2 schoolgirl field hockey victory over Dexter here Saturday.
Central rallied to send the game into overtime as Jen Gehrke and Teresa Dow’s scored in the final seven minutes. Each assisted on the other’s tally.
Goalie Monica Cookson had 5 saves for 5-3-1 Central.
April Rockwell and Lori Keyte scored for 1-8 Dexter, with Keyte assisting on Rockwell’s goal. Lindsey Smith made 8 saves on 11 shots.
The JV game ended in a 0-0 tie.
