Maine’s annual moose hunt moves into its fifth day Friday with 80 percent of permit holders having had a successful hunt.
There were 90 animals shot Thursday, which brought the four-day total to 804 moose taken. Last year, 801 moose had been shot as of the same day.
Ashland and Greenville were Thursday’s hot spots, with 25 moose tagged at Ashland and 22 at Greenville.
